 Welcome to my blog on Cyprus and its position and history in Eurovision Song Contest!

This is a project for my WQ23 Three Minute Europe class where we are studying ESC and how national identity is displayed on stage. I am going to be studying and researching Cyprus and its involvement in ESC. 

I am a first-year student at Seattle University currently majoring in International Studies. I like to travel and have been to 26 different countries; however, I have unfortunately not been to Cyprus though it is on my list of places I wish to travel to.

Cyprus’ National Identity and the Turkish Cypriot Other Definitions and Key Terms National identity is subjective and constantly evolving, every country is different. Cyprus’ national identity is different depending on who you ask, a Greek Cypriot, a Turkish Cypriot, or an outsider.
